Wesley is a Seoul National University graduate who is wildly interested in small gadgets. He rose to fame in 2002 for creating a small, wearable computer solely with his allowance and imagination; all major national television stations have covered him going around all sorts of places wearing his computer, and has decorated the first page of a major newspaper. He is currently building an updated version of this machine.
When he is not in his workshop building new inventions, he can often be found taking pictures and videos of everything around him with his miniature digital camera / camcorder hybrid and editing them on the computer. The camera is always worn on the waist so as not to miss anything interesting.
Producing a feature-length animation film with his friends was on his mind for quite some time, but whether that becomes a reality or just stays a pipe dream remains to be seen. However, being a producer of a film is not a pipe dream anymore.
Why I'm producing The 1 Second Film:
While most of the people exit the theaters while the ending credits are rolling, I always remain on the seat and enjoy reading through the names of the people who made the film possible. It's my way of saluting the efforts of those people and paying respect. Now here's an actual film that puts a lot of weight on those credits more than any movie I've seen or heard of! I couldn't pass up financing such a masterpiece.
Perfect Moment
The moment I stepped into the airplane leaving Korea for Toronto when I was 9 years old. It was the biggest turning point of my life, not to mention the perfect moment I would like to be caught into a one-second film.
