After my buddy and I created copies of the "1 Second Film" poster and made copies of the release form (We figured we should be on the safe side), we went to downtown Charleston during a Spoleto festival in hazy weather. We weren't sure if it would rain or not.
Anyway, it was our first filming project of any kind. Out of several requests, we recorded seven perfect moments. It would have been eight, however, the significant other expressed concern considering our complete lack of experience and suspected we were up to something, therefore the release form was ripped and the perfect moment was recorded over. In situations like that, we have no choice: We live with what we have and move on.
A friend of mine and myself will go around Charleston on the weekend of May 24th to help promote the "1 Second Film" and hopefully reel in some more producers!
Our "Question to the people" will mirror that from the website: "What is your perfect moment?"

The 1 Second Film
Our lovely global village is doing fabulous things with the collective supporting technology that is the internet. For instance, aspiring film producers can now get their foot in the door with an inspiring grassroots project that turns its nose up at the elitist model that has made it so difficult for film work to be obtained.

Gerardo Betancourt (The Geeworld Studios), in association with Habit Forming Films, LLC, and A.P. Stack, proudly unveils the website for "The Hollywood Informant", a black-and-white film noir production that delves into corruption, murder, and deceit in prohibition-era Los Angeles.
Synopsis: Hollywood, 1928 - During the murder investigation of an undercover cop, two vice officers scramble to find the true identity of an elusive individual who's only known as "the informant": a killer, and possibly a cop, who tips off the mob to the whereabouts of the police during booze runs. The plot thickens when the vice officers stumble across a mysterious, seductive woman who claims to be police mole, but who they believe could be the informant. "She claims innocence. They claim guilt."
I know it has been forever since I have posted here, but thought it was about time. Since I finally convinced Nirvan that my technology project management skills didn't actually include doing code ;-) but were more "big picture," I have shifted my focus from the website itself to finding ways to use other technology partners to promote The 1 Second Film.
Zaadz is our first partner. (Zaad is seed in Dutch.) I am working with their team to figure out the best way to get the word out to the 50,000+ members of this Community focused on Catalyzing Conscious Capitalism. What exactly is that, you ask?
