my friend was having me watch a video of tom goes to the mayor (the calqcorn one) and I saw the bob odenkirk name at the end credits. I searched him on google, clicked on the google spellcheck thing, and clicked on his wikipedia article, where he was holding up a flyer for something called the "1 second fim". we found the official site, donated a dollar, and here we are.

My first day as an associate producer...

acomputerpro

I'm exhausted! I had no idea that the job of Associate Producer on "The 1 Second Film" would be so difficult and demanding. Now all of my www.Twitter.com/acomputerpro friends hate me, because they think this extra commitment will detract from my primary responsibility of keeping them informed and entertained.

So what time is the friggin' call for tomorrow? It better not be too early. *gj needs his beauty sleep.* Also, please let Craft Services know that I'm a vegetarian.

Tuba Produces Film

Greetings Producers!
I knew the "1 Second Film" bus was gonna ride by during the Doo Dah parade (Pasedena, CA, January 20th, 2008).
I knew Levy Brewster (and possibly Sarah Peters) would be there.
I intended to become a producer when I saw 'm.
I actually ran up to the bus driver to ask for 'm.
I didn't even recognize Levy behind the wheel!
It'd been a while; he had more hair now, and he looked so...healthy!
I guess the shock was too much and I just left it at: "Hi, howyadoin'?!"
It was during a parade, for the love of Mike!!!
Sarah's acting in New York? That's pretty cool.
Anyway, I missed out on signing up in person,

What's Up?!

I'm not sure of the true purpose, popularity or reach of the blogs on here, but that passion for communication says I can't let this sit here. Simply 'cause I dropped some coin toward the 1 doesnt make me the man - however, in my eyes, my word does - what I create makes me immortal. But seeing as we're all really just passing through, I figure shit is too short to not deliver a "What up" to everyone who is cool enough to care - about this project, about me, this blog, etc. With that, I shall drop in here every one in awhile to drop my word, and chat about non-profits, projects, movies, and non-profit movie projects, Tom Green and the like.

I can't believe it....

As Nirvan mentioned in his blog, I actually left the tech world to try my hand at film production. So why, oh, why, would I take a job helping out with the tech side of a film? Well, I guess it's because I believe in this project, and this is one way that I can contribute in a somewhat unique way.

I hope that by lifting some of the tech management burden from Nirvan, that will allow him to continue his fundraising and event planning work. I just hope to provide the backbone for his communications out to all of the other producers, as well as for the millions of future producers and media inquiries that are sure to be just around the corner. ;-)

The sun will rise soon ...

Hi there! It's past 4:00 am, and I just finished finals today at USC. No wait, that was yesterday. It's late. I have to go to bed. Anyways, I'm so excited to be working as Project Manager at the 1 Second Film. Here's a quick little story for ya'll.

About a week ago, one of my best friends from NJ called me, and we were talking about graduation and how we have no jobs and what should we do with our futures and how we must find eternal happiness and and how ... OK, I'm going too far. So, I told her that I'm graduating on May 11th, which is in two days. No, wait. It's tomorrow. Lord, it's late!!! And I was complaining and whining that I have no job and what do I do? Sure, I plan on going to grad school at USC next year, but what about a JOB?!?

The Collective -Script Written

Joe Jenkins

Hey everybody,

The script to my TV pilot 'The Collective' is now written and has been sent off to the actors.

I thought that it would be an idea to keep a blog on how the whole thing goes, share the joys and frustrations of making a low budget film and, when i say low budget, I mean low budget - our last 20 minute short cost £26.50!

Anway, the script is written and now I will just wait to hear back comments from my actors - I actually treat them like people, not walking props :o)
