About our Road Trip |
After 7 years in the making, The 1 Second Film is headed to Oprah! We are making a grassroots non-profit film that anyone can be a part of. Simply by donating $1, you can be credited as our producer alongside major stars like Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, and Pierce Brosnan. All profits raised by our finished film will be donated to the Global Fund for Women. In September of 2007, The 1 Second Film documentary crew will embark on a 45 day bio-diesel journey across America, from Los Angeles to Miami to New York, and ending in Chicago... where we hope to meet Oprah! Along the way we will be visiting universities and house parties to present our 5 phase plan to bring the world together, one-second at a time. The Road to Oprah is the culmination of our effort to create a tipping point for this project, to bring as many people as we can together. We have no idea what will happen, but we will be filming our journey as part of our documentary that will play during our credits. We plan to build an interactive road-trip site over the summer that will allow our producers to help set up and attend events and presentations. The site will also track our journey as we go. |

We are currently raising funds to buy an old school-bus, convert it to bio-diesel, and build a stage on the roof. The stage will be for a band called The Love Punks (aka 'The Evangenitals') that will be writing and performing songs about our adventures along the way.
