Born in Houston, Texas and raised in Port Gibson, Mississippi, Jessie is a 4th generation alumni of Alcorn State University class of 2005. He is a McNair Scholar and a member of a plethora of organizations that include Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Mu, Beta Beta Beta and the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms. A lover of independent films, Jessie utilizes the great resource that is Netflix for entertainment. He currently resides in Kent, Ohio where he is attending graduate school at Kent State in pursuit of a Doctoral degree in physiology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience.
