Ericka: reading. reading. more reading. writing. my dog, food, hiking, art, word games, tetris, travel, walking around the city, philosophizing. thinking. buying books. learning new things. worrying, being lame.
Todd: video games, learning, languages, the puppy, HaXX0ring :P jk not really, programming, food, being with friends, games of all kinds, puzzles, art, travel.
Movies
Ericka: Me too!
Todd: The 1 minute one, of course.
Music
We like a lot of everything. Our friend Jon is a music guy, so we learn a lot about "indie," punk, and hardcore. We like singer-songwriters. Todd likes nerd-music :P Ericka likes rock. We don't always talk about ourselves like an intertwined couple with no interests separately, but it's tough to do on a dual page.
Ericka likes Surrealism most, paintings especially. Todd also likes modern art, but doesn't have a favorite type. We're both terrible with names. There's this guy called Mark Z-man who paints stuff and puts it up in the shops around our neighborhood. There was this one with the Pillsbury Dough Boy with empty sockets for eyes, his arm around his blonde girlfriend in a convertible. Creepy and awesome, in Ericka's opinion. The guy who makes his sculpture look like balloon animals is cool too. And the guy who separated cow slices for the Sensations show in Brooklyn 8 years ago is usually thought provoking.
Heros
The Cheerleader, Hiro, Peter Petrelli.
TV
We watch a lot of TV. Lost, Buffy, Arrested Development, the Simpsons, House, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office (Todd only, Ericka stopped after the middle of season 3), Ugly Betty (Ericka), Family Guy (Todd), Futurama, Star Trek: All of them (Ericka mostly), Weeds, Dexter, Deadwood, Flight of the Concords, Six Feet Under, Angel, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, PBS, CSPAN. Other stuff.
Social Change
Neither of us are good at this, but Ericka's just about as left as you can get, government to serve the people, not control them. Todd's liberal on social issues, and "awesome" on financial issues.
Other projects
Ericka and her friend Daniel O'Sullivan are making the best graphic novel that ever existed. Details to follow. Todd and his friend Paul Eastlund are making some sort of website that takes a really long time to describe, but they're going to make a million billion dollars.
