Pushpa was born in Nowshera, India in 1923, and is the grandmother of The 1 Second Film's director. This is Pushpa's first time producing a movie. She was arrested in 1942 and spent a night in jail with 19 other women as part of an all-girl non-violent protest of British rule in India. She has been living in the U.S. since 1976, and has 3 children, 4 grand-children, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Why I'm producing The 1 Second Film:
Because I like the idea of one-second changing the world; I pray for peace everyday. I hope people will respect one another and help others who are less fortunate. The same god is in all of us. God is one.
What an amazing woman!
Thanks for being a leader and an example for not only women but all humanity!
