Biography

My name is Ian J Walton, and I was born in Cheshire, England in 1980. After making lots of short videos with my dad’s old camcorder, I decided to go to college and study media. I did that for three years and made some good friends. I continue to make short films with the hope of one day making a feature. I made one film called Boas Can’t Sing which was screened at the Cheshire Film Festival and won two awards (big deal for me, I don’t win things usually). Having just completed my first animated short which took six months to complete, I am taking a short break, it won’t be a long one though because I love filmmaking so much I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m sure that it’s the same for all filmmakers.

Why I'm producing The 1 Second Film:

I am financing The 1 Second Film because as soon as I read about it I fell in love with the idea! And I hope that you succeed in your goal. I am sorry that I am only donating 2 dollars but I am out of work at the moment and a little hard on cash.

Perfect Moment

My 1 second perfect moment from my life would be when I was riding my bicycle through a country road on a quiet sunny day last year, just above me a Sparrow Hawk was gliding along. When I looked up I couldn’t believe it, it was so silent and graceful I wanted to reach up and touch it. That was a quick moment that will stay with me forever.
