'Bringing people together, for one second.'
Hey Sam, you know a guy named Joe Rinaudo?
It's possible I met him, before I knew who he is, but I certainly know of him.
If he's the same one of whom you write, Joe Rinaudo is a legendary fellow who restored one of the few remaining Photoplayer machines, which is a player piano for silent movies.
You can read about him here.
It is possible I've met you too, Mr. Michael B., if that really is your name. I lived next to the Mouse House, just a few blocks from FotoKem.
I often brought freshly-shot 35mm negative in late at night, so I could keep moonlighting my own films together, and then stumble into work bleary-eyed the next morning.
The FotoKem staff was always nice to me. Did you work there then?
I'm talking a long time ago, in the '80s, when it was a much littler lab, before it became the mammoth filmmaking engine it is today. FotoKem was always, then and now, the indy filmmaker's friend. Great quality, personal touch.
Write me directly sometime, Michael B. I'll bet we know lots of people in common.
Best to you,
Sam
