I was born and raised in a small town called Huyton, just outside of Liverpool in the UK. I'm 20 and I'm a media/music student going into my second year in September. I hope to major in filmmaking and sequencing/composition, two areas I have wanted to at least have some experience in for the best part of my short life. This is the first film I have financed. I'm currently trying to flesh out an idea for a sitcom with some other friends, but whether this ever sees the light of day or not is another matter altogether. Suffice to say I'd love to see it happen, but dreams are dreams, hahah. I submitted a three-second animation to a competition for inclusion in a BBC comedy series called Look Around You in late 2004, and somehow got picked. I even ended up going to the screening party in London, which I really didn't have much right to getting invited to, seeing as I was responsible for around 0.00006 percent of the entire season, but oh well.
Why I'm producing The 1 Second Film:
I'm financing the film because I love the idea behind it, I like that it's for an extremely good cause, and because I appreciate just how important it is to have good people funding you when you're trying to make a film. Glad I could help, even if it is only in a really small way. Every little bit counts though.
Perfect Moment
The one moment from my life I would choose to be made into a one-second film is probably seeing the most gorgeous sunset over a staggeringly green field. From a bus window. With my headphones in, listening to Brian Wilson's "Smile". Which I did. A lot.
