John Hawkes is an actor and musician who first came to fame for his role in The Perfect Storm. Other films include Me and You and Everyone We Know, and Wristcutters: A Love Story. The director of The 1 Second Film first met Hawkes on the set of Wristcutters, which was directed by Gorin Dukic, who is also a producer and friend of T1SF.
