B.J. Novak is an actor and comedian who became an Associate Producer of The 1 Second Film before landing his role on The Office. Nirvan met B.J. at Andrew Bujalski's BBQ, celebrating Andrew's 'Someone to Watch' Spirit Award for Funny HaHa. B.J. probably should have been given a Someone to Watch Award as well.
