Crew Members earn points by participating in various ways:

• Join our Crew = 1 point

• Refer a Friend = 25 points (plus you get a Publicist Credit in our movie!)

• Post a Comment = 1 point

• Join a Group = 2 points

• Create a Group = 5 points

• Post a Forum Topic = 5 points

• Post a Blog = 5 points

• Post a Blog that gets Featured = 20 points (We feature posts related to our production: see Featured Blogs)

• Upload a Photo = 2 points

• Upload a Promo Photo = 75 points (Promo pics may appear in our film and/or publicity: see sample promo pics)

• Upload a Video = 5 points

• Upload a Promo Video = 100 points (your promo might be included in our film and/or publicity: watch sample videos)

• Host a Virtual House Party = 111 points (join our Fundraising/House Party Group for details)

• Set up a Fundraising Event/Presentation = 350 points

 * Points may also be awarded for additional helpful actions at our discretion.

NOTE: Abusing the point system (i.e. posting excessive comments that say nothing or act as spam) will result in a loss of points at our discretion.

About Participation Points

Our Participation Points program is an experiment. The idea is to recognize some of the many ways our crew is helping create this project, aside from donating. We may tweak the point system as we go.

Your Feedback

We're considering different ways to reward top participants. In the future, points may be used to earn production status or to give away special prizes (shirts, DVDs, collectible 1 Second Film art, tickets to our World Premiere, etc). We may also introduce virtual gifts and let users exchange points, or gift them as tips to other users.
