Walking by the waterside at the battery late one autumn evening, hand in hand with a beautiful woman that I cared about more than I ever said, talking quietly and enjoying each other's company, feeling the breeze and a missed chance at a forbidden kiss that somehow lived on to become more than the kiss itself would have been.
