Can I Change or Edit My Name in the Credits after my profile has been created?
Logging In
To log in you must first register to join our crew - then simply login by clicking the login link in the upper right corner.
Joining
It is free to join as a basic crew member. Each account must have a unique and valid e-mail address. To activate your membership, you must first validate your email (a confirmation email will be sent to you if you "Join for Free") or donate $1 or more to become our Producer. Please check your recent junk mail, as the confirmation e-mail may have been labeled as spam.
Forgotten Password
If you do not remember your password, you may request a new password here. Your password will be sent to the e-mail used to register your account. You can change your password in your account settings once logged in.
* If you donated before we had an automated system and do not know your password, try having a new password sent to the e-mail address you signed up with. If you still need help, please contact us with your name, the amount you donated, and how/when/where you donated, and we will try to hook you up.
Changing your Password
To change your password, first login, and then Edit Your Account Settings. Once in your 'account settings', simply enter your new password and click the submit button.
Viewing/Updating Your Profile
Once you log in, you will be given a crew member navigation box in the header. To view your Crew Profile, click on your username. To view your Home Studio, click "my studio" or the "Home" button on the main menu (if logged in). You can edit your Crew Profile using the drop down menu in your navigation box, or by visiting your Home Studio and using your Tool Box. You can also use our Quick 6 Step Profile Setup.
Finding Your Name in the Credit List
Eventually we plan to have a button on each profile that will link directly to your name in the credit list. This is a bit complex, because our credits are dynamic and constantly changing. So until we can program this function, you will have to search for your name in the credits.
The different credit types are sorted differently: Producers are listed in order of amount donated and then alphabetically, Publicists are listed in order of the amount of people referred and then alphabetically, and the Special Thans credits are listed in chronological order.
A full list of your individual credits can be viewed in the side column of your Crew Profile and on your Home Studio Page.
Becoming a Producer of the Moment
To become a featured Producer of the Moment:
1. Donate $1 or more to become a Producer.
2. Upload a photo of you promoting The 1 Second Film and fill in your bio. (Download our Flier, or make your own)
3. Post a request in our POTM forum to be added to our Producer of the Moment pool.
You get bonus points for uploading a Promo Video or a cool Testimonial!
Uploading Your Profile Photo
To upload your profile photo, login and Edit Your Account Settings. You can also use Step 1 of the Quick Profile Setup Shortcuts.

Adding your web link to your profile
To display your homepage in the 'websites' box of your profile, login and edit your weblinks. You may include links to several supported websites, include to a home page of your choice. Be sure to include the "http://" (i.e. "http://www.mysite.com")
Adding or Removing Friends to Your Crew
You can add any crew member to your personal Crew List. Simply visit the crew member's profile and click the "Add to Crew" button, and then confirm. You will receive updates on your personal crew's site activity on your Home Studio page. To remove a member from your personal Crew list, visit the member's profile page and click "remove from crew".
Adding a video to your profile
To upload a video, login and click on the 'settings' link at the top of the page. In the 'my video' tab, you can enter a link from a YouTube video, and it will display in your profile. Don't forget to join our YouTube Group!
Allowing others to donate to Your Profile
You can allow others to donate to your credit by adjusting your privacy/donation setttings. To allow others to donate toward your producer credit, select "OPEN DONATIONS" in your privacy/donation settings and click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
Once selected, a donate box will appear on your profile, allowing other members to chip in toward your producer credit and move your name up the list. Folks who chip in $1 or more toward your Producer credit will be listed as your benefactors.
Changing your privacy settings
Login to your account and then click on the privacy/donation setttings. In the 'preferences' tab, you can choose to make your profile private. Noone will be able to view your profile when this box is checked; in the future, we hope to give you the ability to allow people you choose to view your profile. You can also choose to turn off email updates. After checking/unchecking the boxes, click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
Filling out your profile
To set up your profile you can either use our Quick Profile Setup Shortcut, or edit your bio and account settings at any time. As we update and change the site, the displayed information may change. We will never give out any personal information such as phone numbers, addresses, or credit card details.
Posting blogs
All Crew Members can post blogs to our site. Simply login and add a blog. Selected blogs detailing our production may be featured on our main Production Blog.
To add links, images, and video to blog posts: Adding a link is as simple as copying and pasting the link into your text. You can add an image using the <img>imagepath</img> html code. You can add links and images to your blogs, forum posts, and some places in your profile. To add video, simply post a video on YouTube and copy the embed code into your blog post. Videos currently only work on YouTube.

Lines and paragraphs break automatically.
Web and e-mail addresses are automatically converted into links
Setting your time zone
Login and edit your profile. In the 'account settings' tab, go to the bottom of the page. Choose your time zone from the drop down menu, and click the submit button. If you don't know your time zone, you can find out from this website.

Add or Edit Referral InfoIf you sign up by following a link sent by a friend, or by clicking on a referral link from your friend's crew profile, then you will be auto added to your friend's referral list, and your friend will be given a Publicist credit in our movie.
If you joined via word of mouth, and want to enter your referral info, you will be able to add it during Step 3 of the profile setup, or by entering the info in your account settings (under the "referral info" tab).
To edit incorrect referral info, please post a change request in our forum help section, and we will get to it.
Admin Note: Hey, currently I have to enter the manually entered referral info manually, so it may take some time to update your referral info on our site. We're hoping to automate or distribute this task to volunteers soon. Meanwhile, thanks for your patience. - Nirvan
Can I change or edit my name in the credits after my profile has been created?As per our credit guidelines, your credit name is supposed to be permanent. However, if you absolutely must change your name, we can edit it for you. We require a $5 change fee, as it takes us time to change each name. To change your name in the credits, please login, donate at least $5 (toward your credit or toward someone else), and then contact us with your account details, and the new spelling of your credited name. Please note, we can not edit credit names after the motion graphics for our credit sequence has been completed.
