Beta Testing for PayPal is no longer in the 'Sandbox'.

We are now testing using real PayPal account in preperation for launching the site. If you want to continue helping us test users or the donation system, please use small amounts (under $2). We can refund any PayPal donations made by beta testers- just let us know how much you donated if you need a refund.

Thanks Jim! Great find. It seems to be working if you donate directly from your profile, but you are right, it's not directing correctly if you donate from the 'donate' page. did the automated Thank You e-mail get sent to you? If not, well... thank you! and happy st. patties day.

Donation Testing (Now With Real Money!)

I just donated $1 to Kresge's producer page (http://www.infosaur.net...), and am happy to report it redirected properly (although I should note I donated from their profile instead of the "donate" page, as I don't want my total to change), I received the confirmation/thanks e-mail (in my inbox, not my spam folder), and it instantly updated their profile.

Next, I'll talk my sister into letting me register her (with my money, of course) to test new users. Then I'll also be able to check if the donate page redirect bug is still in effect (I assume it is, but for a dollar it never hurts to check).

Sorry I haven't been more helpful in this beta-testing process; I can say I've played around (and will continue to play around) with my profile, and haven't come across any hitches yet. It's been crazy around here, and most of it not for the better.

Registering New User

OK, so I registered this account (http://infosaur.net/pro...) in my sister's name/e-mail address (with her permission - and sworn secrecy - of course ;)). After having her click the link in her e-mail and log in (as an aspiring producer), I then used the "donate" page to add her donations, and it did redirect properly. Yay! All total updates and e-mails went through instantly and properly (albeit to my e-mail address since that's the one linked to PayPal) as well.

Thanks Ed! Jason fixed the redirecting issue last night. Registration and everything seems to be working relatively well. The last issue is to fix some browser compaatablity. Your sister will be deleted before we launch cuz we have to roll back all the new test users in order to reset the user ID and producer ID numbers. I'll refund the amount and hopefully she will redonate once we go live! thanks for your help!
