Forum & Blog Layout

We haven't really themed the Blog or the Forum yet. Obviously it could be a lot better, both aesthetically and functionally, but let's not focus on that for now. We will definitely be improving these areas in the future. We are also hoping to migrate the old production blog into this Drupal environment. For now, if you find a major bug, broken link, or something that just isn't working on the Blog or Forum, please let us know.

 

Known Issues:

- Drupal Forums aren't as good as other forums.

- Producer Pics are in a wanky place and names should be listed under them. This would take too much time to do right now and isn't a priority.

- a root directory at the top of these forum pages would be really helpful for navigating.

Blog Forum Issues

* It would be nice if poster's names were linked back to their profile on posts (blog comments, forums)
* Linked names on Active Blogs (I think this was where it occurred) were not showing up. Only 's was.
* When adding/added Blog Entry, date and time were off, date especially (1969-12-31!).
* When commenting to post, the Subject 'should' be auto-filled, like "RE: Forum & Blog Layout", yet still be editable or just erased.
* I agree, links back to the topic would be nice.

Something weird has happened with your profile. Your donation amount disapeared and so did your Producer Name. Your producer ID# also changed. I'm glad to know this can happen, but any idea how it happened?

The Only 's is because your Producer Name got erased. Producers should not be able to edit their name or amount. The names should link to the profiles; they work for admins but apparently not for non-admins for some reason.

These are all really good notes- Jason is travelling but should be back to work on this stuff in a couple of days.

Glad to be of help. And for anyone else reading this, I still haven't found any reason for the blanking and id change.

(Ooh, interesting. If a subject is not filled, then a subject is pulled from the first few words of the comment..., I kinda like that!)

Oprah -- When I click on Subscribe to this blog something scary happened. A strange window asking me to download or save something. So I cancelled out. Is that normal?

Blog layout

Oprah -- when I click on "Blog" on the right hand side, the blog shows up UNDER my pic and info instead of to the right. I guess that's okay, but I actually didnt even know it had taken me to that page until I scrolled down bc I didtn see it. It might be better if it comes up to the right.
