Please post any thoughts regarding the producer profiles, focussing on things that don't work or things that could work better. Also, feel free to add a wish list of things you would like to see.

- forwarding a page is wanky.
- profile is being activated without confirming email if donated...
- can access settings for aspiring producers before validating email.
- contact preference if enabled does not currently display on profiles.
- quotes and location need space between profile photos.
- do not display "How did you hear about this film?"
- do display "What sort of things are you doing to help produce this film?"
- consolidate non-profit information so it consumes less space.
- profiles without bio info currently stretch up and down.
- Aspiring Producer profiles need the new PayPal button and have spelling mistakes
- Aspiring Producer page set to Private: should still be able to view own profile if logged in.
- Pages set to private should still have previous & next buttons for browsing.
- Private Profiles: admins should be able to view/easily find user ID#.
- Misc Comments
- Filmography doesn't update.

yeah i was going to say that i added a 'what are you doing to help produce this film' comment and it didn't show up in the profile. i think you have that mentioned there, but i'm not sure what "do display "What sort of things are you doing to help produce this film?" means
in fact, i've also added something in the filmography and the misc comments box, and neither of those showed up in my producer profile.
Misc. comments isn't meant to be displayed....it's sort of a place to leave a private note to us. Although currently we would have no idea if they left a note. The thought was that this might be part of our CRM which we will be creating from the profile info; the CRM will provide us an administrative database to internally keep track of everyone's prefferences. We had kept a misc. field for notes that didn't fit into the profile questions, but was still useful. But maybe this Misc. Comment should just be removed entirely. This might also be something that only users with admin access see. I need to check.
The filmography info should have appeared, so that is something new.
I have registered 2 test users and noticed the following:

I updated the main list with your notes as well Mike. We can strike things off the list as they get fixed.
This is currently an Aspiring Producer. Not sure if we will allow Aspiring Producers to leave comments. It seems like a good idea to let people communicate as much as possible. So long as the e-mail has been validated. Just posting to see what will happen once this I become a real producer....

* In the bio, when adding information that might be (is) sensitive, there should be a disclaimer and link within this disclaimer, explaining how this info is used, and what will be made public.
* There was a Connection Time Out after I updated Donor Info, and I only mention it if it isn't just a quirk. Hey, these things happen. The update was saved just the same.
Some of the interest fields are not being displayed even if information is entered. Font size should also be smaller.

Being a Mom of a young Executive producer the location of the person should pull from the name and info section Hometown and not from the address section. I may not mind Nirvan having my address but want to have the general state and not city and state on my and my son's profiles. This will be an issue for most with kids.
Also I am showing as aspiring as well????

Good note Hollie- the location information we list is not required, so you can list as much or as little as you want. You will also be able to edit Hunter's profile to remove anything you don't want listed. The street address will never be displayed by default, and will not be searchable either. Privacy is definitely a concern, and I appreciate your feedback.
We are using Drupal's Location module which will allow us to eventually generate dynamic maps that show where our producers are- it won't display exact location. This will be helpful in organizing our road-trip, future sequels, etc.
I noticed the Aspiring bug; for some reason your donation amount and credited name disapeared as well. Same thing happened to Jim. I sent you an email about it and we are trying to track down the cause.

After uploading a picture, and when I clicked on the picture to 'View the user's profile,' I got a page not found. Then, when I went to my profile from the link at the top of the pages, and clicked on the user pic, I still got "Page not found."
Also, I added a signature for comment posting. This shows up on the first line in the text box. It's a little annoying for it to be there, having to click right in front of it, and type before it or hit enter to get some line breaks. So, it would be nice if the signature showed up on the second line, or not show until the comments are posted.
And I thought of this after previewing my post. Since the posting process places a Subject Line from the Comment when no subject is entered, how about putting an ellipse after those few words..., I would think it would just look better, grammatically speaking.

The dead links are because somehow your profile URL has switched to an 'aspiring-producer/6406' instead of 'producer/6406'. your producer ID# 6406 has also disapeared when i checked your profile. Jason will try to track this down. After it's hopefully fixed, try to keep an eye on your profile's URL and your producer ID# to see if/when it changes and what you did before it happened.
The other notes about signature and comment usability are great for later down the line things. We are using a lot of Drupal features out of the box, so a lot of things just come that way. Our focus is to get the producer registration and profile system stable. so once we fix you, please try to break it again!

Oprah....hmmmm. I didn't type first "oprah", and yet, inside my Comment box was my lovely signature "oprah." That seems odd unless nirvan is online right now and put a comment in my comment box to mess with me...it's very strange to find Oprah waiting for me...
anyway. I uploaded a pic and it didn't come up. dont know why. so far my producer # hasn't changed.
Oprah -- again with the Oprah...(I guess it's bc I made it my signature. But it would be better if it wasn't the first word in the comment box. Maybe if it was a different color that got pushed down as I wrote -- kind of like in gmail.
So I clicked on my link that says "Picture" and nothing happened....just another update on a picture bug.

Oprah -- I dont normally use forums so I dont know what normal protocol is, but I think it would be nice if the subject line was automatically the subject of whatever you are replying to, and only blank for a new thread. Otherwise the Blank line throws me when I hit reply bc Im afraid if I type in a subject it will start a new thread...but maybe this is normal and since I dont usually do forums I have no idea :)
Also, i had already typed the above message but clicked on "more info about formatting options" for the heck of it and when I went back everything I typed was gone. It would be good to be able to check out formatting options without losing what you typed...
Oprah -- So on my profile page there is something that says "Forum threads" or something like that (I didnt memorize it) but none of my recent posts were there...
I think it only lists Forum Topics that you start... ideally, it would list whatever your last forum posts are, but i'm not sure if Drupal works this way out of the box. I'll ask Jason.
Oprah -- So when I typed in www.the1secondfilm.com as my website it gave me an error. I then realized it wanted me to add http:// but that is bc I am smart :) Other people are not smart and they won't know why it's not working. Is it possible to specifically say "please add http://" or to make it recognize a website without that?
Oprah -- I clicked on Jason's name at the bottom to check out his website. I was directed there (But not in a new window). So I hit my Back button to come back to the 1 second film and it went a little crazy (a lot of options didnt show up on the left hand column). I clicked Back again and it asked me to relog in. I relogged in with my NEW password and it didn't recognize it Then I tried my original password, that didn't work either. Then I chose the "forgot my password" option and went to my email to retrieve it. When I opened up the email it was a bit confusing. Jason's website was highligthed so I didnt know if I should click on that or on the link under that. (I eventually figured it out) and clicked on the link below, which allowed me to change my password by navigating me back to the 1 second film. That seems a little too easy. Shouldnt there be some way to confirm who I am before allowing me to change the password since we are dealing with paypal accounts and things like that? I may be too paranoid but it just felt too easy...
Oprah -- It would be great if from the profile page a user can link to his/her producer credit. i went to the producers page and it's hard to find yourself, but im sure people will get a kick out of clicking on something that says "see my credit" and it instantly takes you to their name in the credits...
Oprah -- Also none of the credit names are actually showing up. but maybe that part of the site isnt done yet...
What do you mead that "none of the credit names" are showing up? Can you post a URL? The producer list is working for me.
Oprah -- maybe it's not up yet, but when I clicked on "referrals" nothng seemed to happen. I got three strange links at the top right corner of the box that i didnt understand
thanks for your notes rachel, we are incorporating lots of them into our internal list. jason has made a bunch of progress and fixed the big bugs. we are now beta testing the registration system. we aren't testing using real money yet, but will do that in a few days... hopefully.
