Just added a video to my profile. I only had a webcam at the time, so I may make a better version when my camera gets out of the repair shop (I need to invest in a DVC deck so I stop wearing out the heads in the camera).
thanks for the video baghead! we will add it to our video gallery. we need a video deck as well...
it's funny, some people think this film is a trick, others think it's magic. but the best are those who appreciate how much work goes into pulling off a magic trick.

'Bringing people together, for one second.'
I uploaded my video, Will You Sleep Through the 1 Second Film?, to YouTube at:
http://youtube.com/watc...
and submitted it to the 1 Second Film group. I tried to put it into my profile, but I kept getting a message that the URL is too long and has to be under 40 characters--which it is.
I also tried to embed it in a blog and the code didn't work. Anyway, I own all the rights, including actors and music.
Oh! My video showed up in my profile after all. It IS magic.
we added it as soon as we saw it. really cool!
It says somewhere on the site to mail you a DVD of 1 Second Film videos. What format? I was thinking of 720x480 AVI, on a CD, since it would fit. Is that format OK? Is putting it on CD as good as DVD?
Hey Sondra, sorry for the late reply- we were on the road, and I just came across this post.
I'm gonna ask Mike B to chime in, cuz he knows more about this than me... but I think the AVI will be good.
Putting it on a CD is just fine. Any raw format should be okay. The main thing is to get something that is as high quality as possible.
Your video is really great- very creative. We would love to get a high res copy of it.
Who does your background and compositing?
Nirvan, I'm glad you like my video. I'm going to send you a CD with an MOV of the video and a PSD of my still, today or tomorrow.
I do the compositing, such as it is.
Oh, and I have the rights to the backgrounds and music.
We got your CD today, thanks!
That's awesome you do your own compositing. What software do your use?
I use After Effects. I like it for the parts I can figure out, but I still think it could be simplified. The puppet tool is for animating, not compositing, but it's the most fun tool in After Effects that I've found. (I didn't use it in this video, but I liked making some people in still pictures dance in another video.)
I could not get any film from my concert where I talked about this project...
But I've made a video anyway... :)

I've added my video, "Promo: The One Second Movie"
It's been made using "The Movies". I apologize if the speaking bits were quiet. My mic is not acting properly with the new sound board.
thanks :)
good audio is a good thing; we want to hear what you have to say!
appreciate the support.
