FYI, I just went to IMDb to check out the update procedure (for when my credit shows up on this site).
Turns out the producer list is locked and they are not taking submissions now (other lists still appear to be updateable).
Here is the complete "error" text I got during the process:
"The complete list of producers for this title is too large and time consuming to represent fully here, sorry. Please visit the official site for the complete updated list. "
Shame I was rather hoping to get an IMDB listing. Ahh well at least the donations go to something charitable.
Hopefully when the project is comleted they will update their listing. Or can be convinced too. Maybe they would be willing to do it as a bulk thing if given the list by 1secondfilm?
Hey JP, thanks for letting us know about this. This is certainly a disappointing surprise.
We will look into it; IMDb has been incredibly cool to have listed all of our producers up to this point. The amount of support we are getting certainly does take time to keep up with. It makes sense that IMDb can't keep updating names individually- perhaps we will be able to arrange a bulk update in the future.
The good news is that we have managed to raise the money we needed to automate our donation system and build a collaborative community; we hope to have our new site launched in 1-2 weeks, giving all of our producers their own profiles to allow more participation. We will then try to sort something out with IMDb.
