My Bio
My name is Bishop Barnes and I am the FIRST Canine to ever be credited in a motion picture. I am also the first dog to be able to type with proper grammar, but enough about me,.. I have two owners, one of which is a ruggedly good looking man with boyish charm named Eli Barnes. The other is his fiance', a stone-cold-fox of which the likes have never been seen, Sarah Barnes. She's a real q t For those of you who want to know, I am a toy-fox terrier. However, even if you find another dog of my breed, you still won't be able to find one as cute as me :)

hi doggie! welcome to our crew :)

regarding your question about budget, we have a page with some more details: http://the1secondfilm.com/budget

our line producer estimated the total cost at about $1m. this factors in various creative goals- documentary, web infrastructure, etc.

however, because of the way we are raising money, it's difficult to predict the timing and we have to work in chunks- sort of building the plane while we are flying it. this can cause the budget and the creative goals to shift in relation to the resources we have.

so far, we have moved forward in many small steps. we are currently working on some major web improvements to make it much easier for people to participate.

this will be a big step toward reaching our next creative goals and building a platform for collaboration. but it will take some time as we don't currently have any full-time staff.

as for distribution, we will look into many different options. theatrical is a possibility. we also may opt for something less conventional. but we will be looking for the best way to get the film out there.

best,
n

So is everyone's name who donated going to be credited on the actual movie when it comes out?

Thu, 05/08/2008 - 12:06pm

That's the plan! The credits will play alongside a feature-length making of documentary that we are also working on.

Is it too late to make a video in hopes of it making it to the documentary?

Mon, 05/12/2008 - 12:29pm

there is still time to submit footage. thanks :)
