My Bio
My name is Shawn Martin and I was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada in April of 1988. I grew up watching movies and love them. My dream is to be a director and make movies for a living. This would be my first credited film. I just shoot things on film for fun and make quick little films on my camera. I recorded and edited an interview for my school project and I shot an interview for a good friend of mine for school. Both of us got excellent marks on our projects. I am currently shooting my short film directorial debut "Cold Hard Cash" which I have also written and produced. It will be released in 2011.
What are some things you're doing to help make this film?
I am donating as much as possible and trying to spread the word of this amazing project.
Why are you supporting The 1 Second Film project?
Supporting any cause should be something everyone does. The idea for The 1 Second Film is pure genius if I have to say so. Anyone would be lucky to be a part of this project. Any non-profit charity is real charity. I hope this film becomes the biggest and greatest non-profit event the world has ever seen and I am proud to be a part of it with everyone one of you.

Shawn Martin's Perfect Moment

If you had to choose a 'perfect moment' from your life to make into a one-second film, what would it be?

A perfect moment. There are so many things that can be classified as a perfect moment. That moment when you first realize how wonderful life is no matter how hard it can get could be perfect. The first time you fall in love is often classified as perfect. Each and every day of your life could be perfect if you so wish them to be. But what would be the perfect moment in my life that I would turn into a 1 second film? That moment would be when after many years of dreaming and having so many ideas; it all came true to me as a perfect moment when I first held in my hands a video camera.
