My Bio

I grew up in a small town in central Arkansas. I am 26-years-old and I have wanted to be in the movie business since I was 13. This will be the first film I have produced, but I have been in 7 movies so far and in October, I will have my first supporting role in a movie that will be made in Los Angeles, CA. I was diagnosed with having Chronic End Stage Renaal Disease when I was 13-years-old. I was placed on Kidney Dialysis for 11 hours a day for 2 1/2 years. During this time I could not go anywhere, so I started watching movies so that I would have something to do while I was hooked up to this machine. This is when I started taking a big interest in wanting to be in movies. My favorite actor of all time is Billy Bob Thornton and I hope to meet him someday.

Why are you supporting The 1 Second Film project?

I am looking forward very much to being a producer and helping a great cause. Thank you.

If you had to choose a 'perfect moment' from your life to make into a one-second film, what would it be?

If I could choose one perfect moment to make into a one-second film, it would be when I got my Kidney Transplant, the day before my 15th birthday, that saved my life. My birthday is April 9th, and on April 8, 1996, I received my new Kidney. This was the best present I have ever received. This has given me a new lease on life. I have had my new Kidney for 10 years, and I am now in Chronic Rejection and will have to go back on Dialysis and have another Kidney Transplant within 1-2 years. I want so very much to be in as many movies as I can before this happens, and I also want to be involved in movies in any way I can.

Site Upgrades: Varnish Installed + 2 Week Hiatus
This week, we finally got Varnish installed on our servers. Varnish helps our Drupal site performance by making better use of cache to serve up content (instead of the database), and will allow our site to handle a lot more anonymous visitors (hopefully!).

We are still making other site improvements. The site is still pretty slow, and we also need to improve performance for logged in users. Basically, there is a lot of tech to do. We don't have the resources to do everything, but we want to make sure we make the most of what we have.
