My Bio
Being a fan of all things experimental, and an independent filmmaker myself, I am proud to have recently contributed $650 to "The 1 Second Film". In today's day and age, one must carefully consider where there money goes. For me, this meant committing to The 1 Second Film or buying a Playstation 3. One of these is the most innovative and revolutionary, groundbreaking pieces of entertainment to hit the world in years, and the other is an over-hyped piece of crap that will cause thousands if not millions of people to waste their money. The choice was simple. I chose "The 1 Second Film". :)
Why are you supporting The 1 Second Film project?
How did you hear about The One Second Film? After seeing "Lords of Dogtown" in the theaters, I looked up some credits on IMBd. One of them was a producer of it, and the title compelled me. A one second film? How odd... I started doing some research, and was blown away by the innovation of the whole concept. Finally, I got around to contributing... As a filmmaker, this simply is a credit I must have on my resume! ;)

This week, we finally got Varnish installed on our servers. Varnish helps our Drupal site performance by making better use of cache to serve up content (instead of the database), and will allow our site to handle a lot more anonymous visitors (hopefully!).

We are still making other site improvements. The site is still pretty slow, and we also need to improve performance for logged in users. Basically, there is a lot of tech to do. We don't have the resources to do everything, but we want to make  sure we make the most of what we have.
