My Bio
Kacy Howe is your average college freshman. He is currently attending the University of Texas at Dallas. Kacy has participated and played a role in many music activist projects. When DJ Danger Mouse was sent a cease and desist letter from EMI for his mash-up The Grey Album, Kacy joined in for Grey Tuesday, a day of protest in which many sites hosted the album to send a message to EMI. Kacy also took part in the 'sequel' Gray Tuesday, a day protesting the banning of the American Edit album. Here he designed posters and advertised for the program. In his spare time, Kacy dabbles in photography, graphic design, writing, and music performance. He is a music enthusiast and enjoys listening to music a lot more than humanly possible. THE 1 SECOND FILM is Kacy's first (and hopefully not last) foray in the movie business. "I think it's a fabulous idea to have the people contributing and helping to finance this movie. It just goes to show that every dollar counts and that there are perks to donating to a cause. Not that you should donate JUST for the perks, but the Producer title is just a nice show that comes with helping The Global Fund For Women. The film also emphasizes the importance of the common person. With the rush of support that this film has seen from the public audience, there's no denying the impact the masses can have on film, or anything." Why are you supporting The 1 Second Film project?
I find the film to be a great idea that gets the public involved with films. There is, of course, the gratification of being titled 'Producer' and such, but there's also satisfaction in knowing I was a part of something big and at the same time, donated to a worthy cause. There's really no downside. The question is, why WOULDN'T you finance the film? For as little as a dollar, you can be a part of this huge thing that everyone will be talking about, from the News to Wikipedia. You're listed with names like Colbert, Bacon, Brosnan... seriously, what is there to lose?

Kacy Howe's Perfect Moment

If you had to choose a 'perfect moment' from your life to make into a one-second film, what would it be?

It isn't a specific moment, but perhaps a montage of me hanging out with my friends. Or a second of music. Or, even better, me taking a picture. When I take pictures, I get taken to a special place that would take forever to explain, but would also be perfectly depicted in one second.
