Hi, I'm Edward, but you can call me Ed. I'm an O.G. producer - I first donated two years ago, and have been hooked ever since. Currently residing/baking in North Hollywood, California!
What are some things you're doing to help make this film?
On November 2, 2005, I organized a fundraising presentation with Nirvan, Sean, and Rachel (I think? I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was really cool too and I didn't want to leave her out!) at UC Santa Cruz. I've also helped beta-test, and have distributed fliers in theaters, cafes, and record stores in the area. I'm planning on producing some promo videos as well, but I've been so busy since moving that that's not even in the pre-production stage yet!
Why are you supporting The 1 Second Film project?
As a film major, I feel like I should kind of have an idea what's going on in the film world. So, I browsed all the films being released in 2006 on IMDb, and the title "The 1 Second Film" was an immediate hook. I checked out the website, and thought it was the coolest idea ever. Unfortunately, whenever I try to explain it to my friends and coworkers they look at me like I'm crazy :-(

    Site Donation Bugs and Temp Fixes

    Just wanted to give a quick update. After our launch last week, we began encountering several bugs with the donation system.

    The biggest bugs are related to the donation system. Currently, if new users try to join by clicking "Donate" - they do not get proper producer credit or a crew profile. Also, if users click "Join for Free" and then decide to "Join and Donate" - the site is not working properly, and the user does not get a profile. And finally, if registered users donate toward another crew member, the donation is not registering properly.

Lol, I know how you feel when you try to explain it to ppl. I found it easier to explain it to younger ppl all you have to say is "You can be in a movie" and you got their attention from the start and I am sure they would bum their money of their parents lol.
Some of the older crowd I've talked to...aren't sure they think it maybe a scam or something.
