My Bio
Kathleen Dreier is a high energy event and portrait photographer with a photo journalistic and documentary style. Accessible, friendly, respectful, playful, detail-oriented, and adaptable to ever-changing situations. Specializing in social issues, community/personal/family events, live and studio musicians, weddings, fine art and theater performances, relaxed portraits and unexpected every day happenings. Kathleen's current social projects includes documenting the challenges of homeless youth and the diverse stories of the youth who are part of a non-profit cycling group. Given her ability and sensitivity to seamlessly blend into any environment she is photographing, Kathleen has been given the title of being a "stealth photographer." As a long-time professional social worker, Kathleen has utilized those skills to interact with and support her photographic subjects. Kathleen is a member of the National Press Photographers Association, a DART Society inductee, and a Getty Images freelance photographer. Her award-winning work has been featured in Zocalo Magazine, National Bike Alliance, Tailwinds Magazine, Perimeter Bicycling Journal, Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Citizen, Tucson Moves and Tucson Weekly.
