My name's Bryan, or if you prefer my more common nickname, Chief. I'm unlike anyone else you've ever met, and I like it that way. I'm young but I've got tons more experience under my belt than other people my age. I'm a world traveler, an adventurer, a poet, a musician, a counselor, and so very much more. I'm the most dedicated and unwavering friend a person could hope to have, and the worst enemy you could make. I fight hard, love passionately, and never let myself fall down.
My past is rife with secrets, and no one person in this world, aside from myself, can put the whole picture of me together. Those I love, I love forever, and those who manage to reach my shit-list almost never get off. I can't stand stupidity and will readily call you on it if you do something that is blatantly idiotic. If I make a promise, I'll break myself in half if I have to in order to follow through. If I tell you that you are welcome in my life, then I hold to that, even if years pass.
I have a very chimeric personality, and can revamp myself at a fundamental level if I see that it would be to my benefit. I take the time to reboot myself whenever needed, and I have found it to be extremely healthy. I'll fight change in my life that is unnecessary, but when I see that change is needed, I embrace it fully. I love to laugh and love to make other people laugh, but I also enjoy taking the time to speak deeply with those who can and will hold a philosophical debate with me.
I live to challenge people, make them think, feel, and find out what they really believe. I despise no one for having their own opinion, but I charge everyone who publicizes or pushes their opinions to be able to back those opinions up with research when challenged. Don't believe everything you hear... as John Lawton so aptly put it, 'the irony of the information age is that it has given new respectability to uninformed opinion.'
I stand as myself against a world that pressures people to be something outside themselves. Anything you want to know, feel free to write me. If you make it interesting, I will do my best to reply! Meantime... stay out of trouble, live a little, and please, use your brain.
Oh, and before you complain, remember this... if you can't or won't have pride in yourself, a little self-confidence, you're going to spend your whole life getting run over, because very few other people are going to try to lift you up so well, and none at all will ever help hold you up when you're all alone. Think of it as prideful backbone rather than a simple hubristic nature.
The arts always have been, and always will be, more vital to humanity than most realize. They allow an outlet and a means of understanding for many, and a way to channel passions some people don't even know exist. As a writer and a musician, I know the dedication and the pain that must be endured to produce art in any form, and the true nature of that great labor of love.
