The 1 Second Film has adopted the following general policy regarding coprights in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Basically, please do not upload any content to our site unless you own all the copyrights involved or have received legal permission.
The 1 Second Film will immediately remove or block access to material that we believe in good faith to be copyrighted material that has been illegally copied and distributed by any of our users. We will also remove and discontinue service to repeat offenders (as per our terms of service).

To Report Copyright Infringements:
If you believe that material or content residing on the1secondfilm.com infringes a copyright, please send a notice of © infringement containing the following information to the Designated Agent listed below:

Identification of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed on our site;

Identification of the material that you claim has infringed on the identified copyrighted work, including (a) a description of how the material in question is using the copyrighted work in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, and (b) a description of where the material in question is located on the1secondfilm.com website, with sufficient detail that we may verify the existence of the material on our web site;

Your contact info, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;

Statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted materials is not authorized by the copyright holder, its agents, or the law;

Once Proper Infringement Notification is Received by our Designated Agent:
If we believe in good faith that the material in question does violate a copyright, it is The 1 Second Film's policy:

to remove or disable access to the infringing material;

to notify, where possible, the user that it has removed or disabled access to the material; and
-
that infringing material will be removed from the system and that The 1 Second Film will terminate repeat offenders access to our website and service.
Procedure to Supply a Counter-Notice to the Designated Agent:
If a user or Crew Member believes that material in question did not infringe upon a copyright, the user must send a counter-notice containing the following information to our Designated Agent:

An electronic or physical signature of the user;

Identification of the material in question and the location where the material appeared before it was disabled;

A statement that the user has a good faith belief that the material was misidentified as a copyright violation; and

User's name, address, telephone number, profile URL, and, if available, e-mail and a statement that such person or entity consents to legal ramifications from the person who provided the alleged infringement notification.
If a counter-notice is received, The 1 Second Film may replace the removed material based on our good faith understanding of the material in question. We may send a copy of the counter-notice to the party that made the original complaint. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the user, the removed material may be replaced or access to it restored in 10 to 14 business days after receipt of the counter-notice, at The 1 Second Film's discretion.
