Collaborate!

The 1 Second Film is built around collaboration; every little thing you can do will help make a difference. After you create your producer profile, you can participate as much (or as little) as you want! The collaborative commmunity we are forming will also form the start of The Collaboration Foundation. As our resources grow, we will continue to develop tools for collaborating on a global scale.

Here are some ideas to get started collaborating with The 1 Second Film:

1. Spread the Word!

Our producers help grow The 1 Second Film simply by telling friends!

• Tell a friend, family, coworkers, and strangers about how to get involved!

• Post links to www.the1secondfilm.com and your profile on message boards and blogs.

• join our MySpace and FaceBook; put The 1 Second Film as your Top Friend!

• Write your local paper or radio and tell them about this project.

• Put up fliers in your part of the world and send us pics of your work! (send high res pics to info(at)the1secondfilm(dot)com, or add to our flickr group!)

• Get your free business cards, or make your own. Make t-shirts or buy some of ours from our Cafe Press Store.

2. Create Content for our open-source documentary 

Producers can create/submit content that may be included in our documentary!

* Submit Video!

Upload video related to The 1 Second Film to our YouTube Group, then post it in your Producer Profile and Producer Blog; the best clips will be included in our 70mm documentary!

* Submit Pictures

Send us a photo of you promoting The 1 Second Film that we can use in the documentary and/or promotional material. Upload pics to your producer profile and/or email high-res jpeg to info(at)the1secondfilm(dot)com

Create Art
Make art/fliers/banners/posters: make promotional material that other producers can use. Or create art illustrating a perfect moment, either your own or someone elses, and send it to us!

2. Share Thoughts and Ideas

• Share ideas in our Forum.

• Update our Producers' Blog with the things you are doing to help.

• Find producers who share your interests around the world, and add them to your Crew

• We hope to add more features to facilitate collaboration as we grow. Tell us what features you would like to see!

3. Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers to help set up events, fundraise, and organize. Los Angeles based, but if you live in another part of the world, you can volunteer virtually. 5. Help Fund Raise

Help raise our movie's budget and have fun doing it!

• Make your Producer credit "open" so that anyone can contribute $1 or more directly to your account. Then forward your profile page to friends and family and see how much you can raise! Erycli Talbert from NY donated $1, then asked his friends to help him become an Ececutive Producer for his Birthday! Dozens of friends chipped in to hel Erycli help us!

• Start a bidding war, and see how high you can move up the list! Create a producer credit for your college or town, start a competition with a friendly rival, and see who can raise the most.

• Have a lemonade stand, bake sale, or car wash to raise money for an Executive Producer credit! And send us pics/video!

• Arrange a speaking event and we will come to you! College students: contact your school, and see if you can arrange for us to visit and give a presentation.
