Tasty bus meal = red thai curry and chicken tikka masala
Note: I love dumping water out the emergency side-exit. It makes me feel like a gypsy traveler.
Vox Pop is a political bookstore and coffee house and community meeting place in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn.
When we told people on the street we were doing a presentation there, they said, oh, that’s a very popular place. Sweet!
I really loved this presentation. It was friendly and fun and we met good new people and saw old friends. Hey! That’s why I’m producing this film!
Three cheers for the band The Golden Birds. Those people have luscious voices. I hope I ever get to hear them sing again.
Afterwards, the bus parked near my friend Phillip’s place, while I went over to my friend Joselin’s place.
I have learned on this trip how things that look close on the map of Brooklyn are not actually “close” when you are in Brooklyn. I was much farther away from the bus than I had intended. In addition to joking about “giving 110%,” we joke about Stockholm Syndrome and the bus. We’ve fallen in love with our captor and even when the bus stops and opens its doors, we hesitate to leave. So I was all nervous to be so far away.
I managed to pack up my worry about leaving my compatriots and had girly girl talk with Joselyn. Ya know - love, job, love.
