Hi, my name is Nirvan. I'm the director of The 1 Second Film, and keep this blog as a production journal. We also have an open Producers Blog and a collection of perfect moments.
Pop Candy's Whitney Matheson gave a nice mention of our project on USAToday.com today: check it out. Welcome readers of Whitney's Blog, and thanks for supporting this collaboration :)
Looks like we might reach 7,777 Producers Today! I wonder who that will be?
I just spent an hour on the phone with our web programmer. We are going to (hopefully) be introducing a few new features to our site that we have been developing. They are still rough, but that's the way we roll. We are basically building this as we go and as we can.
I'm also working on designs for our bus vinyl wrap. We built bunks over the weekend, and I uploaded some pics overnight.
Check our bus conversion flickr set for the latest images

Levi tries to figure out what we are doing.
we salvaged the foam from the school bus seats to make the matresses for the bunks. we also did a lot of hand painting and detailing.
it was a long weekend of hard work. we had several producers join us, including David McDivitt - who I had never met before. David donated online 2 years ago while in Boston, and now lives in LA. He got out email and came by w/ his nice wife Emily, and they helped paint and salvage foam from the bus seats.

David & Emily
Patrick Durham also came - both Saturday and Sunday - and stayed late into the night, taking splinters and all. Patrick is awesome- he is the producer of Cabn Fever 2, amongst several other movie projects, and he is a real hands on guy. P has referred a ton of folks to this effort.
Levi busted tail as usual (even though he has a cold) and Fiona, Mike, and Sarah were also huge helpers. The whole band came by, and our jumpsuit designed (Brokesy) came by and fitted us. The jumpsuits are gonna be awesome! Other surprise visitors as well, thanks everyone who came out!

and bunks:
We are doing it again next weekend and will need even more help. Check our Forum for address/details.
With only 9 days to go we have a huge amount still to do, so I can't write much. Gotta get back to it. But lots of big news, including a potential new sponsor- Von Dutch(!) who I had a really good meeting with yesterday. More as that develops, but they really love this project and everything it is about.
The only bad news is that our camera is behaving really weird and sometimes not working at all, so we may have to get a new one before our trip, which is an unexpected cost. I have been trying to get in touch with a Sony/Panasonic/Canon rep about a camera donation, but it takes time, and so far we have not got in touch with the right person. If anyone knows someone, please let us know!
best to all,
n
Von Dutch! awesome! I'll spread the word and ask around about the above noted camera companies to see if anyone I know has any connections.
thanks amber! appreciate it.
