TED talk: Howard Reinghold's Way New Collaboration

Watched this TED Talk video last night. Really enjoyed it: Howard Reinghold discusses down the evolution of collective action, as new forms of working together encroach on competitive survival of the fittest models.

I haven't read Smart Mobs yet, but it will probably be the next book I read.

Speaking of collective action and online organizing, Drupal just launched version 6.0. pretty amazing. all built by a open collaborative community. We will need to upgrade our site to 5.0 first, but each version of Drupal is getting more powerful; a lot of the direction seems to be toward empowering online communities, and making the technology accessable to non programmers like myself.

im working on our site redesign. laying out site specs, wireframes, and designs for a new theme. it's a fair amount of work, but making progress.
