Hi, my name is Nirvan. I'm the director of The 1 Second Film, and keep this blog as a production journal. We also have an open Producers Blog and a collection of perfect moments.
made it to sundance. Drove up with Dan Mirvish, a co-founder of Slamdance. a very resourceful filmmaker. we ended up crashing at Film Threat's condo. Dan said it never hurts to sleep with the press. then the next morning we loaded out. i tried easing into the credit selling. it's always a little awkward at first, going up to random strangers and initiating a conversation. but before long i was doing an interview with einsiders.com; i also met alot of nice/strange people. including a bunch of hobbits waiting to watch Lord of the Ringers.

elijah wood was reportedly going to be there, but i ended up sneaking into our Associate Producer David La Chapelle's party. Sabrina didn't end up organizing it, so I had to sneak in afterall... but it was a pretty good sneak in: There was a bouncer with a list; I was able to get in kind of close and read the name 'Brad Hamilton' off the list; then I went away, and came back 10 minutes later; they asked my name, I said 'Brad Hamilton', and they checked me off their list.
I wonder what happened if/when the real Brad showed up. Probably he could show some I.D. or something. Anyway, I had work to do.
so, inside the party i watched some Krumpers, the high impact dancers/subject of LaChapelle's documentary. i also got to touch base with David and got a brief interview with Alan Cumming, one of our $1 Associate Producer who I had yet to meet (Alan had bought his $1 credit from Craig in Vancouver).
Alan was very nice and very very funny; he was thrilled to see that his name made the list on our flier, even though it was at the very bottom. Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, and some other celebs were there, but i didn't really feel like talking to them. just shot a little footage and observed the spectacle. once again, the best part of the party was sneaking in.
craig gets in tomorrow evening and i look forward to having a hand.
