Meet our new Project Manager!

So I have hired our first Project Manager! Gianelle Elysse is a soon to be USC graduate who majored in communications; she is actually finishing her finals this week and graduating on Friday. Then she is going to start helping out around here.

How Gianelle got involved is a good example of how this project has grown. She heard about it from Patrick Durham, checked out our (old) website, and became one of our producers by donating on-line; then she got more involved by helping to arrange our presentation at USC that Stephen Nemeth and I gave a few months ago. Two weeks ago, Gianelle was wondering what she was going to do after graduating; the next day she read our job posting in our producer newsletter, and now she is working with us.

Gianelle and I met on Saturday just to go over everything. She will officially start next week after she graduates. We have a lot to do; organizing volunteers, setting up our road-trip, preparing press kits, administering this website. Having a Project Manager will really help; I've been a bit ovewhelmed with all of the things to do. I'm excited to have some help.

Meanwhile, my car started leaking oil, so I got to get that fixed today. I'm going to take my laptop with me so I can continue writing up our next web site priorities for Jason. Once that's done, Jason and I will make a plan to tackle them. Lot's of stuff starting to happen; more will start getting done now that help is on the way.
