producers that re-produce

We had an unexpectedly good response from our newsletter. I just wanted to thank all of our 'founding producers' who have been chipping in a bit more, moving up the credit list, and helping us fundraise. The continued support is really encouraging- and really helpful! Special thanks to two producers of the moment:

I hope this site gives a sense for where this project is headed and what we are creating with your support. We are slowly building a community of collaborators. It's gonna take a little time as this is a non-profit production happening from the ground up, but we are making steady progress, and building a good foundation.

I made a couple of small tweaks to the home page last night based on some producer feedback; basically adding more dynamic content to the homepage such as latest blog entries, new users, and a video.

We also have been getting a good response in terms of volunteers and p in your profiles, we don't receive any sort of automatic notice. Nor are we currently sending anything out based on that. We are simply collecting the volunteer information and plan to build a notification system, but we have not connected everything yet. But this volunteer info will be essential as we move forward, both in setting up our road-trip and preparing for the various sequels. If you want to get involved right away, contact us after filling in the form. I really appreciate the response, and will be working to catch up with e-mails.

Also, it looks like we have a few really great job candidates for our Project Manager position! It is going to be difficult picking just one. I'm really looking forward to having some help as I'm pretty overwhelmed with things to do.

Oh, as a little side note, I had a new idea this morning about how to address the IMDb situation. It is something Stephen, Ben and I talked about at our Board meeting last week. I actually think the whole IMDb situation is pretty interesting, and it's developing into a sub-plot in our documentary. For those following the IMDb thing, I just want to let you know that it is on our to do list.
