things are getting hectic!

last night i was brainstorming new names for our non-profit foundation, and came up with a moniker i'm pretty excited about. "The 1 Second Foundation" is a bit innocuous and doesn't stand alone in terms of expresing what the collaborative core of this effort is all about. but the new name will be much better in terms of marketing and getting the idea out there, which is the majority of the work these days. I can't share the new name until we get it locked in officially, but the process is underway, thanks to Ben at McDermitt, Will, & Emery.

We had a Road to Oprah meeting today; sarah, levi, juli and i went over the masive list of things remaining to do before we hit the road. we prioritized and shared notes. it was a really good meeting- we all have really long lists and have started working on em. Oh, we also pushed the Cabaret back from Sept. 15th to Sept 30th- we need the remaining weekends to work on the bus.

We will be working on the bus every weekend for the next 2 weeks for sure- Saturday and Sunday- if anyone in LA wants to help. We will be painting, building a stage, building/painting a caboose, bunks, etc. Just come on by the Armory Center for the Arts- 965 N. FairOaks in Pasadena

Each event now has a link that you can click to get the current info. We are still filling all the details in as they develop, but if an event is in your area, you can subscribe to that event and keep tabs on it.

We are working on having a mini calendar view in everyones producer profile.

levi and i paid a visit to the bus today to start removing the seats. tomorrow we are going to try and find someone to come recycle all the metal ribs from the seats. we will be salvaging much of the cushion foam to make our bunks and seating area.

We started registering the bus as an RV, but can't finish the registration/insurance process until the bus has some bunks and a kitchen area. so we gotta husstle.

today i also worked on designs for the vinyl wrapping and for some patches we are getting made for our jumpsuit. yeah, jumpsuits. courtesy of the amazing Brokesy. everyone on the crew i chipping in to get their own jumpsuit, and brokesy is going to help customize them.

there are a ton of other things goin on as well. i can't write about all of them cuz ai have to go work on em.
