Julie Taymor joins our Board of Directors!

great news for all of our producers: i just got a phone call from Julie Taymor and she has agreed to join our Board of Directors!

I am very very excited; Julie is amazing. Julie may also direct a frame of The 2nd Second Film, depending on her (extremely busy) schedule. we also talked about her upcoming film and i may get a chance to do some animation for it! what an exciting call! Julie heard about The 1 Second Film from a friend of mine (Dani) who had lunch with her a few weeks back. Dani had mentioned the project and Julie thought it sounded very interesting. So I sent her a letter and a DVD of my animated short films, and today I got that amazing phone call.

I also met with Mark Gill earlier today who is the president of Warner Bro's Independent Film division. I told him a little about The 1 Second Film and he liked the ambition of the project, but i didn't pitch him on becoming a producer because the meeting was more directed toward a feature i am working on. these meetings are pretty quick. luckily, after literally having pitched The 1 Second Film thousands of times, i've gotten pretty good at pitching an idea.
