If you must know, the way I heard about the 1 second film is as follows. My girlfriend and I think it's somewhat of a bizarre movie. A couple years ago, as part of a graduation requirement for my major, I was taking some art class or another. I vaguely remember as part of a discussion someone mentioning some sort of painting party for calarts to do this 1 second film thing. I didn't think much of the conversation at the time, but, for whatever reason, I've remembered that discussion over the past couple years. Now fast forward to last night. I was on the phone with my girlfriend, and we were talking about this film project that she'd told me about before that she'd been a part of a few years ago. As a favor to her friend's roommate, she said she'd agreed to be filmed for a 1 second film project. That triggered that memory in my mind, and I asked, "wait. I think I've heard of this. Was this something called the 1 second film project?" And so we both scrambled onto the internet and we found that we were both talking about the same thing, which is your project. So, in summation, my girlfriend is the girl who's likeness has been painted in all of those frames. And i'm not, by any measure, a rich man, but I thought I'd help your effort.

And if you want to know a perfect moment from my life for a 1 second film, (not to be trite or clich or anything) I'd have to say the scene from my family's family room in the summer of '98 when Iran scored it's first goal, a header, in it's 2-1 victory over the US in the world cup. Not that we dislike the US or anything, but we, being Iranian, were rooting for the Iranian soccer team and I don't think anyone in that room had felt as much elation before or since that moment.
Lame, I know.

Awesome. 5 years ago, when we were filming this, we had put out a casting call looking for an actress willing to help out on an experimental animated student film that would contain one-second of extremely brief nudity. Hundreds replied. We lined up an actress, but she cancelled at the last second the day of the shoot, so we had to scramble and get a friend of a friend. We owe your girlfriend a big thanks. Hope you two can make it to the premiere.
