Designs for New Registration Flow

Here are some sneak previews of the new designs I've been working on for our new site's registration signup and profile setup. (click any image to preview in actual size).

The New Join Page:

New Users can Join for Free to become basic crew members, or Join and Donate $1 or more to become Producers. If they Join for free, they will be required to complete a Captcha and then confirm their email address.

The Confirm Email Page:

Upon confirming their email, new users will become Crew Members, and will have their name added to our Special Thanks credits (which we are building). Crew Members can then set up a profile using a new 6 Step Process.

Step 1, Upload Photo:

Members will be able to upload a profile photo and tag it if it is a publicity photo so we can feature it in the new publicity gallery we are building, and possibly use it in our documentary. Crew Members will get 'Participation Points" for adding photos, with bonus points for Publicity Photos that promote The 1 Second Film in some cool way.

Step 2 - Profile Settings

Members will be able to adjust privacy settings and fundraising settings during the quick profile setup.

Step 3 - Your Bio

Crew Members will be able to share info in their bios; interests will be like tags that will identify other members with similar interests. Members can also share a perfect moment or a testimonial.

Step 4 - Join Groups

We will be replacing the "Volunteer Preferences" with the ability to join and form Groups. This will allow our crew to better organize, especially for those who want to get more involved. We will have featured volunteer groups that members can join during the profile setup. Crew members will also be able to start or join other groups for any interest, including things not related to The 1 Second Film project. Members will get participation points for joining groups and taking part.

Step 5 -Invite Friends

Crew Members will be able to invite friends to join our Crew. If you refer one friend, you will get a Publicist Credit in our movie :) and 25 Participation Points for every friend you refer. Publicists will be listed in order of friends you refer. I'll be working to export all of the current referral info we have collected, so if you have referred someone already, and we have it on record, you will be getting a Publicist Credit as soon as the new site is launched :) We are setting a goal of reaching 1 Million Members, and this new site will give us the tools to do it.

Crew Members who have yet to becom Producers will be able to donate $1 or more to get a producer credit in the film. If you have already donated, you will be able to add to your donation to move up the credit list. I'm particularly proud of the Kiefer Sutherland penny detail :)

After the 6 Step Profile Setup, Members will be able to go to their studio page or  profile page, which will be all set up. Members will be able to make additional customizations as well. Members will also be able to upload multiple photos, videos, and rate content- earning participation points for every contribution. The points will be redeemable for things like free t-shirts, and maybe a trip to the world premiere :)

So this is what I've been working on. It took a while to design all the little icon and figure out the best flow for usability... The finished results should be a big step up from our current diggs.

These are just the photoshop designs. Ciplex is now starting to do custom Drupal coding to make all of this stuff actually work. We also have to import all our member info into the new site. We still have a few months of work to do before it will be ready to use, but I just wanted to give an update.
