big small breakthroughs

Hi everyone, there have been some dramatic changes going on behind the scenes.

i've been having what feel like major breakthroughs in the next steps of this project. alot of the epiphanies have been made whille redesigning our website. the main goals of this redesign are to increase the usability for the community features while breaking down barriers to entry. a lot of community features never got finished during our last big site updgrade; the previous update was really about automating the sign up system so we didn't have to keep entering names by hand, and introducing profiles so everyone could update bios, etc.

another big development is that we have two volunteer editors who have been helping this week; marcin and arleen. they are both amazing cinematographers who just moved here from poland, where they recently graduated from film school.  mike b had a great idea to start cutting together small moments from the film, and just posting them as a way to start sharing content while getting through all the footage. So we are going to start having more video updates. having folks to help edit is a huge help; there was just too much to do. so im able to keep working on the web development, which is going to be key for scaling up.

two days ago we had 2 'internet celebrities' visit the office, ijustine and brook, both avid vloggers, and now 1 second film producers :). our friend/producer evan brought them over. we juggled, told stories, shot video, and  made big movie deals. brook donated a nice hand drawn dollar and justine became an Executive Producer (her profile) and actually streamed live online as she donated so that her fans could watch; several of justine's friends have since come on board as well, which is really awesome, and much appreciated. 

we will try to post some video of their visit soon, as we start getting our editing flow in order. meanwhile, here is a video brook made, that includes her visit.
