Hi, my name is Nirvan. I'm the director of The 1 Second Film, and keep this blog as a production journal. We also have an open Producers Blog and a collection of perfect moments.
Got back two days ago. Worked through the jet lag trying to catch up. With Sean's help, we finally managed to get everyone's name up on the site... thanks everyone for your patience. We have passed 1500 Producers and are already nearing 1600- there were so many names that the Producer Page was crashing so we had to split it up and give the Associate Producers their own page...
Also came home to a new $500 Executive Producer by the name of Cinespire Entertainment, LLC, c/o Shannon Factor, who sent us a check. Much thanks to Shannon- we are hoping to raise enough money to get a new SONY HDV camera...one of our next goals- so that the entire 'making of' documentary doesn't look like a 1 chop mini DV.
i went to my friend Kathleen Lolley's art opening last night; she was in town from Kentucky. Kathleens work is amazing (she directed frame #7)- check out her site: www.lolleyland.com. At her opening I met Mark Ruffalo, one of my favorite character actors. Turns out Mark is a fan/collector of Kathleen's work, so when I told him that she was a frame director, he was sold. Mark came on board as a $60 Producer (he really wanted the business card of Kathleen's frame). I was just stoked to meet Mark, and to be working with him on this; it's always a relief when you find out that someone you admire is actually very cool in person.
anyway, it's nice to be back in LA, hitting the ground running. we are trying to get a booth for the downtown LA Art Festival next weekend, where we are going to try and sell credits from a booth (and also T-shirts, etc. if we can get some made in time). Hopefully we will raise enough money to get a decent video camera to continue filming.
i'm glad to hear mark is as so. without saying too much, i'm happy he has heart. also, thanks for keeping this blog.
