Form/Space Atelier Program For November 2008
Show Title: Spire
Show Duration: November 14- December 7, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday November 14, 6PM (Belltown Art Dealers Assn.
Second Friday Art Walk)
Location: Form/Space Atelier 2407 1st Avenue Seattle, WA 98121-1311
Stencil artist Greg Boudreau creates an exhibit emphasizing the unique
vertical qualities of Form/Space Atelier, combining nearly two hundred
stenciled panels and a towering spire installation of salvaged wood.
Greg Boudreau prepared this proposal statement prior to the execution of November 2009's exhibit: "The project for Form/Space will be called "SPIRE." It will essentially consist of a central spire constructed of salvaged on the '2nd landing' (of the gallery) with possibly one or two separate partial spires. The spires will be loosely modeled on the structure of construction crane frames. The walls will be filled with a "massive" quantity of single layer hand drawn bird stencils printed on frames of salvaged wood. The intent to create a project/installation that emphasizes the vertical quality of the gallery of Form/Space Atelier. Spire also combines our original ideas (Boudreau and Form/Space Atelier Curator Paul Pauper) of having outside studio work mixed with an atelier project. Because of the 'freer' nature of the execution of the project I've been changing my ideas and approach more than usual."
The 1 Second Film reached 10,000 Producers today! I am so completely floored - this is an amazing number of people. Big Thanks to everyone that has helped us to reach this milestone!
Collectively, we have raised $272,615.95 from the ground up. Our new website is just a few months away from completion, and will empower our crew with the tools to collaborate together - not just on this project, but on future non-profit collaborations as well.
I'm really humbled and overwhelmed by the steady support and generosity from all of you.

Michel Gondry is now a Producer of The 1 Second Film! I went to his book signing at the Family Bookstore. Here are some pics of me sharing the project with him:
On Sunday November 9th The Evangenitals will bravely go where no art-country freak-folk hillbilly love-punk tender-hearted rock revolution hath ever gone before... The Guitar Center Battle of the Bands! *shock* *awe* *gasp* November 9th Club 705 705 Pier Ave Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 9:30pm Yes! We have accepted the challenge and we're going to give it our best shot from the stage of Club 705 in Hermosa Beach! Here's where you come in: 1/4 of what we're judged on in this competition is "Audience Enthusiasm", so we need to fill the dang joint with Evangenitals fans for some epic sing-a-longs, dancing of jigs, and general love-making.
Here are some pics/video of a storyboarding session I was working on. Basically, the plan is to create a new and much improved intro video to go with the new site.
So, kind of a funny story: I was at a friends working on these boards, when Ara Devejian and Ana Bagayan came by for a visit. They asked what I was storyboarding, and I went through the concept. I also mentioned that I needed an After Effects artist to work on motion graphics. Turns out, Ara is a motion graphic wizard. He showed me his amazing reel, including some scenes many of you probably saw in Iron Man, and the next thing you know, we were brainstorming ideas and working together.
