Here is some video from yesterday:
I can't begin to tell you how many parking laws we broke. But all went well, including a roof bus performance by the Evangenitals. We streamed live from a mobile rigg, then edited and posted today. Justine has some pics of our mobile rig on her blog: www.ijustine.com

Stayed up late putting together a newsletter that I'm about to send and setting up our Ustream Channel. We have some fun plans today to get out the vote for the $10K Ideablob contest. Of course, who knows what will happen. Especially on such little sleep...below is the newsletter I'm about to send out... it's 5am. These banners don't design themselves! :)
We're in 2nd Place... Last Chance to Vote! Our non-profit, The Collaboration Foundation is currently in 2nd in a down-to-the-wire race to win the $10,000 Ideablob Grant. We need 200 votes to catch the leader, with only 1 day left! Can you help? It's for a great cause! Please take a sec to vote on-line now. DIY DaysSubmitted by nirvan on July 27, 2008 - 4:08pm. collaboration | community | diydays | events | film festivals | ideablob | ideas | marketing | movies & entertainment | social-change | technologyWoke up at 6am for some reason. That means the blood in the brain isn't sleeping. Started workin on the puter. emailing ideablob links and coding. Day passed. kept forgetting to eat, lost in pixel dust. Checked twitter, and saw a tweet from Mickipedia about DIY Days. I'd completely forgot! Grabbed some Ideablob flier strips, hopped on bike, and peddled to the cornfield gallery. Wandered into a large garage space full of steamy air and filmmakers dripping with ideas. This free event was put together by a bunch of really smart filmmakers who have explored the new nooks and crannies of self distribution, self- funding, and just getting things done. every story was unique, organic to their films personaliy, and their own. i missed most of the day, workin away in my cave. but really enjoyed what i saw. one of the organizers, Lance Weiller really was amazing. i had not heard of or seen his films, but his ideas (and execution of) for getting his work out there was absolutely brilliant. Head Trauma. I need to watch and explore it when i get time. Watch for video of his talk on DIY Days. Ideablob Day 3Submitted by nirvan on July 26, 2008 - 2:20am. evil monito | ideablobthird day of the Ideablob vote. The Collaboration Foundation is in second place with 178 votes. A little disappointing, but there are still a few more days for voting. I spent today emailing friends and talking to people in my neighborhood coffeeshop. Brought my laptop and signed people up. Met some nice folks at SciArc while biking home, handed out some more fliers. Then a dinner party where a few folks signed up. More emailing, posting on Facebook, MySpace, and the usual online get out the vote routine. The Dark KnightSubmitted by rpeters2007 on July 25, 2008 - 10:01am. Batman | Dark Knight | Heath Ledger | movies & entertainmentSo I should have wrote this last weekend but went to see "The Dark Knight" opening weekend at the IMAX theatre. I have to say it was amazing, strong performances from all of the actors involved. The IMAX experience is something that I have had before but not for a major motion picture. The sounds made it feel like you were actually in Gotham City. This being the last performance of Heath Ledger had many people going to the box office for that reason. I do believe that even if it wasn't there still would have been many people going to it. street canvasingSubmitted by nirvan on July 25, 2008 - 1:39am. ideablob | marketing | on the street | production notesToday I hit the streets for the first time in a long time to try and get out the vote for the Ideablob contest. Seems most of the work I've been doing has been web design, accounting, and other computer related tasks, so I was looking forward to being out in the real world again. The idea was to take the bus around town, talk to people, and ask for their vote. I made some paper-strip fliers and xeroxed them this afternoon, took a trip to Burbank to get our gear from the office, and got back to the bus to meet Marcin, Arlene, and Levi, who joined me for the trek. Together the 4 of us set out to the Silverlake area where we canvased the street for an hour or two, handing out fliers and talking to folks we met about the Collaboration Foundation and the Ideablob contest. People were generally really positive and a lot of folks said they would vote. A few even signed up to be producers :) 871 Votes to GoSubmitted by nirvan on July 24, 2008 - 1:57pm.Sent out a newsletter flash yesterday about the ideablob Vote, and we got 129 votes! We still need another 871 votes in a week to reach 1000. We stand to win a $10,000 Grant for The Collaboration Foundation. There is a copy of it online here: http://www.the1secondfilm.com/newsletter/flash/2 Voting continues for another 7 days here: http://ideablob.com/ideas/1247-The-Collaboration-Foundation-C
