Coolio is now Producer #9,131 of The 1 Second Film!
I was at a dinner party last night and Coolio was there helping to cook. Los Angeles is sort of absurd that way. It was at the house of a friend - and another of our producers :)
Coolio actually has a cooking show called "Cooking with Coolio" on MyDamnChannel. He is a really cool guy and a great story teller with tons of interesting tales to tell. Definitely a nice guest to have at a dinner party and a welcome producer to have on our little movie.
Show Title: Harlow Monkey
Sculpture, painting and drawing by Lynn Schirmer with Opening Reception Dais by independent art critics Jim Demetre, Jae Carlsson and Steven Vroom.
Opening Reception/Dais March 14, 6PM.
Show Duration: March 14-April 6.
Lynn Schirmer presents a collection of mixed-media sculpture, as well as paintings and drawings on the theme of attachment. Some pieces refer directly to the late 1950’s-era experiments of psychologist Harry Harlow on rhesus monkeys. Others are the result of self reflection on her attachments, negative and positive, and how these have affected her sense of security and identity.
This blog is solely dedicated to moving the blog titled "UltravioletUnderground.com plug for The 1 Second Film" off the front page block list. This is in no way a commentary on the content of said blog, however a block spacing error is doing damage to the OCD aspects of my personality, destroying the aesthetics of the front page, and I simply can't take it any longer.
Kudos to Starbucks.
For three hours today, all 7, 100 Starbucks stores will be closed for barista training.
Granted, I do not like the taste of Starbucks coffee, but in a time when customer service seems to be at an all time low, I'm pleased to see a company take action to improve their customer experience. Plus, I believe this type of corporate action builds employee spirit. When employers understand that an employee who cares is one of the businesses greatest assets, customer service always improves.
Now, if Howard Schultz will, once again, have a Starbucks store on Main Street in Park City, Utah and, once again, become a significant sponsor of the Sundance Film Festival, I will really be pleased! No two ways about it...coffee and independent film go hand in hand.

I work at a place that happens to sell cameras among other things. A wise man came in a shared a wealth of knowledge with me on day about a week ago. He told me that I should take all my film to be developed at a place called Colorworks. So I had no idea where to start out looking for this place. He said it was in Wilmington, Delaware, and it's near Market St. I google searched for it and didn't find anything. I wanted to know where it was before I went on vacation, but I couldn't find out. I went on vacation to New Orleans, visited the French Quarter, walked around, went to a few parties. I did not go to the NBA All Start game, but I did watch it on a really big TV.
Two days ago I received a FWD to my inbox that I'd received once before, but deleted it after reading only the first two lines. This time I read it in full.
YIKES!
A feeling of disgust that I'd deleted the FWD the first time washed over me. Why didn't I read it and respond to the sender then? If I were at a party and heard someone actually saying the words written in the FWD, I would constructively and in love respond to the storyteller. So, why did I not do that with an email?
Having been a Flight Attendant for United Airlines and having worked United flight 93 for more than two years, I felt even more disgusted in my heart that I did not respond sooner.
While designing the new site, I couldn't help but make a few changes to our current site. this was sparked after finding this cool new YouTube tool that lets you embed a video bar horizontally and vertically, like this:
So I started to redo our Video Page and then our Photos page. I also added more video on the home page; in exchange, i deleted text that can be found in other parts of the site.

The 1 Second Film
Our lovely global village is doing fabulous things with the collective supporting technology that is the internet. For instance, aspiring film producers can now get their foot in the door with an inspiring grassroots project that turns its nose up at the elitist model that has made it so difficult for film work to be obtained.
Who would have guessed that "Hello" would be the run-away mini-hit from the new Everlovin album? Patrick, that's who! It was always one of his favorite songs on the album, and it looks like that's the track that is proving to have maximum cross-over appeal.
Thanks be to Addi's balloonhat video for putting it all into perspective and into the public consciousness!
Due to popular demand, I have just added "Hello" to our songs on Myspace. Woo-hoo! Now folks can hear it whenever they like and add it to their profiles and stuff.
The message of the music... DON'T FORGET TO LOVE YOURSELF, PEOPLE!
You can grab the tune here: http://www.myspace.com/evangenitals
In other news, I just entered us into some College Music Contest in which we could win some money and some great opportunities, so please VOTE FOR US!
