Laters,

Since the new site is finally done, I have been able to get out a bit more, and have returned to handing out fliers and meeting producers on the streets.
Last weekend I went to an art walk at the Brewery and handed out some fliers, and the otherday I went to the LA Book Fair with some friends/producers and ended up handing out some more fliers and getting a few new producers.
Here is a little video, including a sketch/compilation montage I'm starting to put together... including footage from when our producers were properly listed on IMDb...
I will be attending the Philadelphia Wizard World this June. I plan on taking some 1SF flyers with me to put on my table. I may also trying a get a few pictures with some celebrities while holding the flyer. If anyone's interested in stopping by, I'll be at a table in Artist Alley with the fine folks from PLB Comics.

Kiefer Sutherland was finally bumped from our top 11 producer list by the good folks at pair.com.
Pair Networks has been providing our web hosting and dedicated servers; they will continue to move up our producer list to reflect their continued contribution to our production. Generous in-kind donations like this are a big part of why our project has been able to grow from the ground up. Pair is helping us to create an on-line collaborative community that we could not otherwise afford to do.
It had been almost a year since our last Board meeting. The fact is, I burried myself until this site could be finished. It was a big missing piece of this puzzle that kept dragging on; I eventually realized I had to put everything off until the site was redone. And I felt there was nothing to really ask our Board to help with until the site was done. I had no idea it was going to take a year of tech horror to get it done. But with the site finally launched, I was ready to touch base.
I arrived a bit early over at the offices of GOOD, which are always an awesome place to hang out. So many interesting people and ideas moving through their doors constantly; they continue to expand and have almost outgrown their expanded offices. It's exciting to watch them grow.
Today we are having an L.A. Board meeting for The 1 Second Foundation. It's been a while since our last meeting, so it will be great to catch up on the progress that's been made and then get their advice for the next steps. I've been assembling a report, which has been a nice way to reflect on what's been accomplished.
Our Board meetings are always really helpful, but they have become a challenge to set up as our Board is extremely busy- but we eventually managed to carve out an hour where Ben and Stephen are both in town.
I love our producer Stephen Colbert. Not only did he help us to get on imdb, he is constantly toying with the power of the internet.
"It's official. Stephen Colbert is the Greatest Living American, or at least now ranks tops for that phrase at Google. It's all come from the latest Google bombing campaign sparked off in part by Stephen himself. The backstory on this, plus the "I thought Google bombing didn't work anymore" angle, all below..."
Today and this weekend, Jason will be creating/testing a series of perfomance benchmarks to measure the optomization tweaks made to our site. These tweaks are designed to allow our site to handle more traffic without crashing like it did when we got hit by digg. Jason has a laundry list of optomization tweaks to make, but wants to see what results each tweak will produce- hence the benchmarks.
We plan to test the stability on Monday by sending out a newsletter to our 7,200 + producers. If all goes well, we will then continue to get the word out again.
It's been raining all day here in Los Angeles, which has made for a nice day to catch up on writing. I'm working on our press release, preparing a list of site priorities, and attending to various odds and ends.
My first feature film that I had much to do with putting together (helped my parents)- has been released to the world.
