Well, not really... I've never been involved in a site that drew so much traffic. I've heard the stories before, of course, how a site became popular instantly and the people behind the scenes had to scramble to get the host to pump up the bandwidth. It' a good and a bad problem to have, of course. I wish I could say the flash intro was the reason, but in truth it's the hypnotic idea of the 1 second film. This project will continue to grow into something amazing. Can't wait to do it together with all our new producers! Welcome! Well, I recently discovered that I could do this whole profile thing on here, too. So for those of you who don't know me well, even if you do know me a lot... hi! Welcome to The 1 Second Kid Blog~ The purpose of the 1 Second Kid is to teach kids how to use diffrent forms of artistic expression to express thier emotions. Who do we need? We need parents, mentors, teachers and anyone eles that works with kids to join. How you can help? Start a 1 Second Kid group in your area, school or study group. What does a 1 Second Kid group do? A 1 Second Kid group has kids use a form of artistic expression to tell the story of thier most important moment and how they felt during that moment. What forms of artistic expression are allowed? ALL!! Dance, poetry, painting, sculpting, drawing, photography, song writing, singing, playing an instrument, making a video, writing a script, short story writting, and on and on.

Our server got buried by digg.com and melted soon after we made it to digg's homepage. Much apologies for the downtime- we are working to get things, well, working. Appreciate everyone who is popping by- all 20,000 of you and counting. We are trying to make more room.

We took down the flash slideshow on the front page and have tweaked some other settings- but basically our server was not prepared for this much traffic, even though we thought it was. I guess this is a good problem to have, but it is disappointing as we really did try to prepare for this possibility. We'll try and fix it.

Hello to everyone here!! I'm now 10 years old, loving life, happy that The Lord keeps me here. I'm the happiest when I'm in character. This summer I'll play my first "phsycho" role in an NYU Advanced thesis grad film-- very cooooool!! I'm in NJ, but I'll go anywhere I'm needed. I joined the "1 Second Film" because sometimes that's all that takes for something wonderful to be noticed.
