Not only has pair.com donated hosting, they have also made us their featured site of the week! This puts us in the good companies' good company, which includes sites for Barack Obama, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and Cindi Lauper.
And speaking of good company, I'd like to thank Alicia Arinella and her crew at ontheleash.com from Brooklyn who all took a second to became our producers and sent in these pics:
Our good friend/producer Kyle MacDonald traded one red paperclip for a house, and has written an awesome new book about the adventure. We took The 1 Second Film up to Kyle's housewarming party and got a bunch of great producers from the small town of Kipling, Saskatchewan. A few of the pictures we took are even in his book. Check out Kyle's blog to see where you can trade your money for a copy:

At last, something weird enough for me.
It fits all my criteria - Simple, Pure, Brilliant.

Hey everyone,
Thanks to all our new producers who have been joining! We have already raised over $500 today, and have over 100 new producers since we launched. This is totally amazing, especially considering the site crashing, etc.
Something else that is happening is that a lot of our 'founding producers' have been adding to their previous amounts and moving up our credit list. This wasn't easy to do before, so it's cool that many of our producers are chipping in again. We will be working on some way of displaying all the activity going on in our site during our next rounds of web development. But just having the automated system up and running is amazing.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
- Aristotle
"Our minds can shape the way a thing will be because we act according to our expectations."
- Federico Fellini
The stress of the digg is wearing off, and the site is working much better today. We have had over 80 new producers since we launched, from Hungary to Indonesia. wait- 7,150! New producers are actually joining while I am typing this, and did I mention it's automated!
Welcome to our newest Producer of the Moment, www.laptopguy.com , producer # 7144 who donated $175! If you need your laptop repaired, send it to laptop guy and mention the promo code "1second Film" and they will donate another $20 to our film! That's pretty cool. so is the dog on their laptop:

Well, not really... I've never been involved in a site that drew so much traffic. I've heard the stories before, of course, how a site became popular instantly and the people behind the scenes had to scramble to get the host to pump up the bandwidth. It' a good and a bad problem to have, of course. I wish I could say the flash intro was the reason, but in truth it's the hypnotic idea of the 1 second film. This project will continue to grow into something amazing. Can't wait to do it together with all our new producers! Welcome! Don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any, either on the forum or our profile pages.
Well, I recently discovered that I could do this whole profile thing on here, too. So for those of you who don't know me well, even if you do know me a lot... hi! As you can see, I've given $11 to The 1 Second Film. The money goes towards the production of the film, which in turn the profits made will be donated to a charitable organization. So if you can, go ahead and donate through the donate link on this site, through PayPal. The transaction is easy, free, and is 100% safe and secure. And don't worry, this is NOT any kind of rip-off. I would never cheat anyone out of their money, so hear me when I say that I will not see a penny of your donation.
