My boy Patrick's art is being featured at one of downtown Los Angeles' best artist collectives, CATALYST - artist collective, this month!
They are having an awesome Dub/Electronica Art Party tonight from 10pm - 2am, and it's only $10 ($15 if you come after 11:30pm).
Patrick has 7 pieces hanging in the show, and it's happening here:

As we continue to organize all this media, I have been doing a fair amount of web clean up. Today, as I was looking for a better way to display our photos, I found a really cool (free) photo app called PictoBrowser for displaying photos from Flickr. You can alter the sizes, sets, and color of the photo tool, and embed in your site. I made the following, and added it to our home page, and have been spending all day organizing and labelling photos in Flickr. Check out some of these highlights:

So we have a few 750 GB Maxtor drives we've been storing video on, but had lost one of the power adapters. This makes it nearly useless. We were swapping with another drive, which means unmounting drives, powering down, switching cables, missing media, etc, etc. Let's just say it's a huge hassle. Nirvan and I called Seagate/Maxtor the other day and told them we lost it. The phone call was strange, I think we were expecting some type of resistance, as these customer service calls often go. Alas, THEY SENT A NEW ONE FOR FREE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED (except for our serial number)! We were so suspicious on phone too, we could barely get out a proper name or address. They ended up shipping it to a non-existent person. Today it arrived and I've been cleaning up our media situation, so we can organized for the long haul. It's refreshing to get such amazing customer service these days. They've definetly kept us as a loyal customer.
another online video clip, this one for a web show called Connected Life. I like this guy's voice.
Holy crap!
My improv team "Not From Chicago" hath done it again. Tonight we won our 2nd Student Cagematch at the iO WEST, which means we're going up against a team of frisky newcomers next Thursday at 10pm. Mark your calendars!
Patrick is going to be joining my group as a "guest star" to fill in for vacationers, so this will be a rare opportunity to see the two of us improvise together for the FIRST TIME EVER! Woo-hoo!
We need LOTS of friends to turn out and VOTE FOR US because.... (drumroll please).... if we win NEXT week, we become the challengers in the MAINSTAGE cagematch at the BIG theater! That is very important in Improv land. Seriously.
